Before you begin.

Are these piano lessons really free?

Start with five free lessons and the first checkpoint in both guitar and piano. Later lessons require BLE membership.

Who are these lessons for?

Practice Challenge is designed for kids ages 8–12 who are beginning piano. A parent or guardian can help with account setup, equipment, and getting started.

Can a complete beginner use these piano lessons?

Yes. You start by finding notes on the keyboard. Playing position, five-note scales, reading music, and easy melodies follow. No previous lessons are needed.

Do I need a full piano?

A keyboard works for these beginning lessons. You will need real keys to practice on; the video alone cannot replace trying the movements with your own hands.

Do I need an account?

You can watch the sample lesson and download its worksheet on this page without an account. Sign up for Practice Challenge to continue through the course and keep track of completed lessons.

Are these live lessons with a teacher?

These are self-paced video lessons. You can pause and replay them as you practice. Private, in-person lessons at Best Lesson Ever HQ are a separate service.
